DONATE TO CAMP SUNSHINE

Meet the Goat, or in layman’s terms, the 2005 Pontiac GTO. This car’s nickname may seem tame, but like the animal itself, it can pack a serious punch. Lurking under the bonnet is a 400hp LS2 engine matted to a T56 manual gearbox —the same LS2 engine found in the 2005 C6 Corvette. In stock form, the GTO is a bit heavier than the C6, which puts its 0-60 time about half a second behind its Chevy cousin. The added weight does not go to waste, however; the GTO has an exceptional interior quality and is a very conformable ride, making it a viable option for any enthusiast looking for more of a daily driver alternative to the C6.

Scott’s GTO is far from stock, and with its 3.9 second 0-60, it easily keeps up with the mid to lower 4 second 0-60 times of the C6. This power increase also helps Scott stay competitive on his epic Rally North America road trips as he helps raise money for their many charity partners, such as Camp Sunshine (a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families). You can actually see his car in action on MavTV’s Rally North America TV show. Follow Scott’s team GTO and many other competitors as they cross the country in their sports cars on some of the most treacherous, thrilling, and legendary roads it has to offer. Also follow Scott on MotorCrush via the button below for the most up to date information on his build, check-ins, and activity. As always, don’t forget to drop him a like while you’re there.

Many enthusiasts, us included love to modify our cars. Our favorite part about it is that there is no formula or limit to how far you can take it. Well, other than the depth of your pockets and your local traffic laws. Since there is no formula, it can sometimes be confusing on where you should start. One of the most popular routes we see people go down is performance, more specifically “go fast” upgrades. Unfortunately, this means that they miss one of the most important components for modifying your car: the brake system. This holds even more importance if you will be tracking your car. Kenneth however, has earned our props, because he didn’t forget about this important upgrade. And for that he has also earned himself a spot in this week’s feature. Make sure you show Kenneth some props by dropping him a like via the button below.

 PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE WEEK

1973 Plymouth Road Runner
shot and owned by David Czarnecki

There is nothing quite like the nostalgic feeling a cherry red muscle car from the 70s can bring. It reminds us of a simpler time, one without hybrids or the petrol-killing electric cars. Cars in the 60s and 70s were more analog, and they had real personality, a far leap from the numb driving experience of many cars today. David is an unsung hero for keeping this legendary car in picture perfect condition and for that we think he deserves like. So make sure you show him and his Road Runner some love via the button below.

The sweepstakes, geared to increase both downloads and in-app engagement, gives users free entries each time they perform an in-app action. From liking another enthusiast’s ride to making new friends, there are numerous ways for users to collect entries while engaging with the community. Other ways of entry include tapping the in-app button to collect 10 free entries, sending a postcard to the MotorCrush Team, and purchasing automotive products and MotorCrush merchandise in the MotorCrush store. Every dollar spent in the store awards users ten free entries.

“It’s been awesome to see the community grow on MotorCrush as we add new features and seek to make an impact on car culture. The sweeps has been a real game changer, kicking us into high gear. I’m excited to see us keep growing as we shoot for our next big milestone: 1 million users!” said Thomas Atadan, Product Manager for Andy Lally ALIVE® the company behind MotorCrush.

Holcomb will join last month’s winner, Ben Maurer of PA, and four more to-be-selected winners, at an exclusive track day with MotorCrush founder and professional race car driver, Andy Lally. Additional track day winners will be announced each month. The grand prize winner of the modded Nissan GT-R will be selected May 2019.
