CAR OF THE WEEK

2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution owned by Javier Escobales.

This Mitsubishi Evolution is a great example of built not bought—a phrase that refers to taking a stock car and modifying it to make it your own. From the weaves in the Rexpeed carbon fiber lip, to the lines on the Seibon carbon fiber trunk this Evo is gorgeous. Performance upgrades include a Grimmspeed boost controller, MAP downpipe and test pipe, ETS intake, ETS Extreme Exhaust system and a dyno tune by Boostin Performance shop. All of these mods equal out to a +40hp increase over the stock output of 291hp. To put that power down, Javier added new set of wheels and an Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs for improved handling. Javier tastefully checked all of the boxes for a properly modified a car: handling, power, and styling. We gave him a follow so we can stay up to date on the progression of the Evo’s build. You should too.

MOD OF THE WEEK

This full turbo kit also includes mild cams and valves that were installed by Vivid racing. Jbed currently has his turbo running right around 7 pounds of boost. Which should make this 911 really put you back in your seat. Thank you for sharing your 911’s build with us Jbednarz37! Want to see more pics of his Porsche? Head over to his car’s photo gallery on MotorCrush.

CAR BIO OF THE WEEK

“My first month with my Camaro so far and I love it. I [use it to] race and meet new people and their builds. I also love [bringing it] to car meets, and I’m not in a car club yet, lol.”

– Agustin Vargas about his 2012 Chevrolet Camaro.

Congratulations on your new Camaro, Agustin! We’re happy to hear you are enjoying and embracing the car community. Meeting new people and seeing their builds is our favorite part about being a car enthusiast. We would highly recommend joining a car club, it is a great experience. Don’t limit yourself to only one though, there are thousands of really cool clubs out there! Need help finding one? Check-out the club feature on MotorCrush. You can find clubs to join and even create a club of your own.
