VIEW IN-APP

We spotted this monster on the trending feed and had to give it a shout out. This is not your ordinary F-150, it’s a second gen SVT Lighting. Which is the first F-150 designed for the track and street. It gave consumers both the utility of a truck and the performance of race car, all wrapped up in one package. During the early 2000s, it was the fastest performance truck in the world. It could even give the Mustang GT a run for its money around the race track. This truck demands respect and has earned a spot in the hearts of many enthusiasts—including us. If you feel the same, drop it a like by clicking the “View In-App” button above. While you’re there, follow SonicSVT to receive updates on his road to 500 wheel horsepower.

FEATURED BUILD OF THE WEEK

1999 Nissan Skyline R34
owned by Rickey Alexander

CLUBS (Click to view): Townsville Modified Car Club

DRIVER BIO: “My name is Rickey. I’m an apprentice chef, father to 2 amazing kids, own a racecar and still manage to pay for it all (no idea how).

I’ve Always Been into imported vehicles, jdm specifically. My first was an 89′ s13, build date same as the day I was born, so obviously, I bought it because it seemed it was meant for me!

The first time I ever drove a car I was hooked, the freedom was amazing, like I grew wings.

I will always be an avid car lover till the day I die.”

VEHICLE BIO: “R34s have always been my dream cars since I first laid eyes on them. I HAD to have one. When I found this car it was in rough shape. Misfiring, blown and warped head, un-tuned and multiple breaks in the ignition loom. She used to have a GTR front-end with Z tune style fenders and carbon fiber bonnet until it was hit with enough defects to instantly lose my license, the officer was nice enough to waive the defects provided I remove all delectable items asap. So I reverted her back to the standard GT-T body. She now sits at 20PSI of boost with stock internals and a high-flowed standard turbo. Best purchase I have ever made!”

BUILD STATUS: Still going

ENGINE TYPE: RB25DET NEO6

TRANSMISSION: Manual

MILEAGE: 150,000

UPGRADES: MLS head gasket, Apexi Power FC ECU, Exedy heavy duty organic clutch, Nolathane solid engine mounts and bushes, R34 triple gauge cluster, standard turbo (high-flowed), Exedy lightweight flywheel, BC coilovers.

Rickey was not kidding when he said he owns a racecar. His R34 is running at 20 psi and has a host of aftermarket parts including, a heavy duty organic clutch manufactured by Exedy. This car is a monster on the track, and with the upgraded power, it rockets out of corners much faster than stock. Thanks for sharing your build with us, Rickey! Make sure you show some love and drop him a like and follow via the “View In-App” button above.
