TRENDING RIDE OF THE WEEK

2005 Lamborghini Gallardo

owned by James Jefferson

Its poster hung on the bedroom walls of teenager’s across the country, but only a lucky few attained the car they grew up dreaming about. The Lamborghini Gallardo remains one of the most recognizable supercars from the early 2000s. Needless to say this isn’t the least bit surprising; its timeless wedge shape and its 5.0 V10 engine puts out 493 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque.  The car propels from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds, which is certainly enough to keep up with the exotics of today, but James’ Gallardo should be a bit quicker thanks to an extensive list of aftermarket upgrades, including: a Meisterchaft superlight GT exhaust, Gruppe M carbon fiber air box, Forgestar F14 gunmetal wheels, and much more. This overall build is super clean and increases the car’s presence over stock Gallardos. We spoke to James, and for his next mod he wants to install a twin-turbo or supercharger system. He would prefer a supercharger, however, he is having difficulties finding one made for a first generation Gallardo. If anyone has any suggestions for this, shoot them over to James—we don’t think he would mind the help. Also, don’t forget to drop him a like and follow on MotorCrush to thank him for sharing his ride. He is currently No. 3 on the MotorCrush trending page, let’s see if we can get him to the top!

FEATURED BUILD OF THE WEEK

Joker Themed 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

owned by Devin Morris

VEHICLE BIO:  “Purchased this Jeep in 2017 to go along with my spouses Harley Quin themed Jeep Wrangler. The Joker theme Jeep’s build is not done yet. Our build venture can also be followed on IG:@Jeepers_Insanity”

UPGRADES: 35 Inch BFG TK02 A/T, Method Racing MR202 Wheels, and a Rubicon Express 2.5″ lift kit installed by 4WP.

Awesome build, Devin! We love themed vehicles. Let’s rephrase that, we love themed vehicles that are executed well. Creating a themed vehicle is not as easy as it may seem: it takes inspiration, time, planning, craftsmanship, and—most importantly—imagination. These are all variables that shape the final product and determine if it is fire or a flop. During the execution, you are constantly walking the line between overkill and underrepresenting the theme. Needless to say, it’s an art. And this Jeep is a work of art that you can see more of in Devin’s MotorCrush gallery. Don’t forget to drop a like when you’re there.

PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE WEEK

1978 Chevrolet Corvette

shot by Leo Narrison

A classic American muscle car rests from its workout, peering out over the canyon and waiting to conquer the next stretch of winding road. The mist and spec on the camera lens gives a cool affect and makes this picture look almost as vintage as the car. Awesome shot, Leo! You can view the rest of his car’s gallery in his MotorCrush profile.
